Identities

Before being associated directly with a deployment or a plain project, any user sensor needs to be identified by airtrace, this is accomplished via the user defined "primary identifier" of the sensor.

An identity is a pair that associates a user-defined primary identifier for their own sensor (for example the sensor's MAC identifier) with the id that represents the sensor model in the Airtrace sensor database.

Once created, an identity can be assigned to either a Sensor from a Hierarchical Project or a Plain Project.
